Moving is a difficult process for people of all ages, but especially for the elderly. When moving elderly family members it is important to recognize their physical wellness and abilities and possible anxiety concerning the move.

For example, when going through belongings with somebody, respect their wishes and concerns about what items they want to keep and what items they want to throw out. Often times even the smallest possession can evoke a memory or emotion that they are not ready to part with.
